The Traitors Canada Season 2 is the second season of The Traitors Canada. It is broadcast on CTV every Monday at 10:00pm Canadian Eastern Time, starting from September 23, 2024.
Background[]
During Bell Media's 2024/2025 Upfronts on June 6, 2024, a teaser filmed with Karine Vanasse confirmed the show's renewal for Season 2, alongside the parallel Québécois edition. Bell Media also revealed that Season 1 was 'last fall's #1 new Canadian series'.[1]
On August 29, 2024, CTV announced its upcoming fall schedule, including the return of The Traitors Canada on September 23.[2] A few days later on September 5, 2024, Bell Media revealed 22 participants for this season, including speculated celebrity participants like Big Brother Canada 2 & 5's Neda Kalantar, and Canada's Drag Race 4 fan favourite Melinda Verga. It was also announced that extended versions of each episode would be available the next day on Bell Media's streaming platform Crave.[3]
Aftershows[]
While there was no formal aftershow for the program, clips were uploaded on the show's social media accounts documenting Murdered and Banished Faithfuls' guesses on who the Traitors were, as well as their reaction when the actual identities were revealed. Entertainment reporter and gossip site owner Elaine "Lainey" Lui also took over from Miss Fiercalicious in hosting bonus content for the show's social media, including exit interviews with eliminated contestants.
Episode Titles[]
Unlike most international editions of the show, the Canadian edition gives each episode non-generic titles.

| 1 | A Sacrificial Arrival |
| 2 | The Hunt Has Begun |
| 3 | Ride or Die |
| 4 | A Secret Mission |

Unique Characteristics & Twists[]
- Celebrities vs. Civilians: Similarly to Season 1, this season adopted a cast of 9 celebrities and reality TV veterans, competing against 13 civilians who were mostly newcomers to reality TV.
- Secret Pre-existing Relationship: Content creators and siblings Kyra and Nick Provost were cast on the show together, competing as individual contestants. This pre-existing relationship was not initially revealed to the other contestants.
- Volunteer Deathrow: At the start of the game, Karine announced that she would add C$10,000 to the prize fund if 5 contestants would step up and volunteer themselves to be put on Deathrow, before any Traitors were selected. These contestants would be the only ones eligible for Murder the next day.
- Dagger or Shield: The winners of Episode 4's Mission could choose between either a Dagger (giving them a double vote at the next Banishment) or a Shield (granting them immunity from the next Murder).
- Murder in Plain Sight: At the end of Episode 4, there was no Traitors' Conclave. Instead, the Traitors had to select someone to Murder post-Banishment, by shaking a Faithful's hand and having the Faithful tell the Traitor that they trusted them.
- Saints and Sinners: For Episode 5, the group was divided by the Traitors into 'Saints' and 'Sinners'. The Sinners took part in the episode's Mission and could win up to C$10,000 for the prize pot, while the Saints were told they could relax in the manor in the meantime. Karine showed up and talked to each Saint individually in private, asking them how much they would subtract from the potential Mission winnings in exchange for a Shield. The highest amount would be subtracted from the Mission winnings, and its bidder would get the Shield.
- Condemnation: For Episode 6, the Traitors had to select a contestant to be Condemned for the subsequent Mission. The other contestants had to rescue the Condemned within the time limit, or the Condemned contestant would end up being Murdered. A Traitor could also Condemn themselves, but they would not be Murdered even if the contestants ended up failing the Mission. The Traitors were shown the key to save the Condemned player in advance.
- The Bribe: During Episode 8, each contestant wrote down the name of the person they trusted the least. That person was then offered C$9,500 from the group's prize pot, which they could either take for themselves, or return to the pot and double.
- No Finale Role Reveals: Any contestant Banished in the finale before the game ended was not allowed to reveal whether they were a Faithful or Traitor.

The cast was comprised of 22 Canadians, with a mix of celebrities and civilians like last season.

- ↑ Instead of a Murder, the Traitors instead chose to condemn one person who would be locked in a cage at the next mission. If the contestants failed to free the condemned person, they would then be Murdered. The Traitors chose Gail, with the contestants successfully freeing her.
