The Traitors. Zdrajcy Sezon 2 is the second season of The Traitors. Zdrajcy. It is broadcast every Sunday on tvn at 7:45pm, starting from February 23, 2025.

Background

An official renewal of the show was announced after the Season 1 finale on May 22, 2024, this time with fewer contestants.

The main show ran for 12 episodes, with 2 special episodes titled The Traitors. Postscriptum airing afterwards. These specials were primarily clip shows with some new exclusive content, centered on the Traitors' and the Faithfuls' journey during the game.

Aftershows

New to this season was the aftershow The Traitors. Arena, also hosted by Malwina Wędzikowska, featuring discussions with contestants and celebrity fans on the events of the episode, as well as offering a behind-the-scenes look at production. Subsequent episodes included Dzień Dobry TVN presenter Mateusz Hładki as a regular commentator and social media correspondent, and a phone line for audiences to call into the program and share their views. Despite the original twelve-episode order for Arena, it was pulled off air after six episodes, with tvn confirming it would return for the last two episodes of the main show.

Unique Characteristics & Twists

• Early Recruitment: Instead of committing a Murder on their first night, the Traitors instead Recruited a Faithful at the start of the game, before any Traitors were Banished.
• Secret Pre-existing Relationship: Contestants Kasia PIT and Mateusz Golonka, who are mother and son, competed as individual contestants. This pre-existing relationship was not initially revealed to the other contestants, with production even redacting all the contestants' surnames to maintain suspense until the relationship reveal in Episode 2.
• Murder in Plain Sight: At the end of Episode 6, there was no Traitor's conclave. Instead, the Traitors had to select someone they would deliver a 'kiss of death' after that Episode's Banishment, in order to Murder them.
• Banishment or Murder: After Episode 7's Mission, Malwina announced to the remaining contestants that there would be either a Banishment or Murder that night (but not both). For a Banishment to take place, the group had to unanimously agree on it.
• The Bribe: During the dinner party after Episode 8's Banishment, a party game was played where each contestant took turns choosing someone else in the game they trusted the most. This chain continued until only one contestant was left; they were then offered to either take 50,000 zł from that episode's Mission earnings for themselves, or contribute it to the group's prize pot instead.
• Card Exchange: The contestants were split into three groups of three for Episode 9's Mission. There was also no Banishment that Episode, and the two best-performing trios in the Mission would instead play a game of cards. The cards included up to 21,000 zł for the group prize fund, an individual 10,000 zł prize, a Shield, and the ability to grant another contestant of one's choice a Shield.
• The Seer: After Episode 11's Banishment, the contestants could place a bid, taken out of that episode's winnings of 30,000 zł to reveal the role of any contestant they chose at a one-on-one meeting that took place after the Banishment. The winner would be whoever placed the highest bid.

Episode 1

• Mission Synopsis: Beacon Lighting
  All 22 contestants worked together to build a giant beacon and set it alight in the middle of a loch, by gathering and rearranging the puzzle pieces for the beacon first. To guide the group, a replica of the puzzle was also hidden among bottles scattered along the loch shore. In order to set it ablaze, all players must have left the water; however, they were first tied up to a pole, and needed to untangle themselves first, and deciding whether to go for a Shield (two in the loch and one on land), start the puzzle or help someone untie themselves first. Completing the Mission within 30 minutes would earn the group 20,000 zł.

Episode 2

Airdate: March 2, 2025

• Mission Synopsis: The Traitors' Cemetery
  The 21 contestants had 15 minutes to find the gold hidden in the various graves, crypts and tombs in the cemetery at night. To find the gold, the contestants needed to use tools scattered around the cemetery to break things open. The gold would only be counted if it was placed in a wheelbarrow at the cemetery entrance. To make things more difficult, searchlights traversed across the cemetery; any contestant caught in them were immediately eliminated from the game and any gold they were carrying. Only 9 players will allowed to search at a time so the rest of the players were a substitute incase a player is caught and eliminated from the game. A shield was also hidden in the discreet location of the cemetery, the finder had an option to either give the Shield up and add an additional 25,000 zł in the prize pot, or keep it for themselves and protecting them from Murder.

Episode 3

Airdate: March 9, 2025

• Mission Synopsis: Scarecrow Search
  The group of 19 contestants were split into three groups, each with their own marked paths. They encountered three questions about their fellow contestants based on a previously-completed questionnaire, with each possible option associated with a scarecrow that had a key on their neck. They had to guess the correct option, carry the scarecrow to a locked box and attempt to open it with the scarecrow's key. If they succeeded, they would be eventually guided to a 'field of gold' full of scarecrows, which they dissembled to try and find the pouch of hidden gold coins, with 500 zł will be loss for each scarecrows being overturned. Additionally, one Dagger for an extra vote was hidden in scarecrows. The group had 20 minutes to complete entire Mission and win up to 20,000 zł.

Episode 4

  The remaining 14 contestants are divided into two teams of seven; they had to dig up golden nuggets from a huge pile of dirt near a pond. They then had to cross a series of floating platforms to the other side of the pond and deposit the nuggets on two different plate colours of a balance scale. They had 10 minutes to dig up, transport, and deposit as many nuggets as they could, with up to 30,000 zł worth of gold hidden in the dirt, and any gold dropped into the water lost forever. the team that successfully puts more nuggets into their plate will decide by majority on which Condemned player is safe from Murder.

Episode 5

Airdate: March 23, 2025

• Mission Synopsis: Touchy Subjects
  The 16 contestants were split into 2 teams of 8. Only 6 out of 8 players from each team took turns being strapped into torture devices (either Chinese water torture or an electric chair). A question would then be asked (e.g. 'Who is most likely to be recruited?'), requiring both a contestant in the devices as well as the other team to answer with the same name in order to earn 3,000 zł. A wrong answer would instead see all the torture devices activated, and the wrong contestant would lose the chance to earn the Shield. Any contestant that managed a successful match with their answers would have to count a total of 5 minutes and 55 seconds as close as possible in a total darkness dungeon with sounds and noises that will be played to distract them from counting. When the player thinks they have counted the precise time, they will press a button to stop the timer with the player who counts the closest to the accurate count will win the Shield.

Episode 6

  The remaining players travelled to Abbaye de Villers, where each contestant had a stained glass window with their name on it. They then had to take turns firing from a crossbow at a window of their choice, followed by throwing chestnuts at their windows. The contestants' task was to shatter all the windows except one - whoever's window was left standing would win a Shield. In the meantime, each missed crossbow shot before this was accomplished would cost the group $250 from a starting pot of 50,000 zł.
