Petolliset Kausi 1 is first season of Petolliset. It is broadcast on Nelonen every Thursday at 8:00pm, starting from September 7, 2023.
Background[]
On February 13, 2023, it was announced that rights for The Traitors had been sold to three countries: Denmark, Finland and Germany. It was further reported that Fremantle Finland would produce the show for a then-unknown network in Finland.[1] The next unofficial update on the show was on April 10, 2023, when Sanoma accidentally made their fall 2023 webinar available publicly, revealing that The Traitors was scheduled for their channel Nelonen.[2]
Nelonen then officially announced on May 25, 2023, as part of its autumn programming slate, that the program would be helmed by recently-acquired channel talent Christoffer Strandberg. More details on the program were furnished: it would be filmed at the Hotel Vanajanlinna with 18 contestants and a maximum prize fund of €25,000. [3]
Nelonen officially released the cast and launch date on July 25, 2023.[4]
Aftershows[]
The official aftershow took the form of the Petolliset Podcast hosted by Christoffer Strandberg as well, uploaded weekly after each episode onto Sanoma's podcast platform Supla and featuring the recently Banished and Murdered contestants.[5]

- Mission Synopsis:
Before the Selection began, 18 well-known players were separated into 3 groups of 6. Each group then had to guess 6 of their fellow players in the room that were opposite them based on the various clues on the pinboard, with each identity provided by 3 clues. They had 30 minutes when they rang the handbell to use the red thread, connect the clues to the identity and wrote down the name (or nickname) of their guessed players. A total of 3 silver bars will be added immediately when all three groups correctly guessed all of their fellow players. - Prize Earned: €1,000 out of €3,000

- Secret Mission Synopsis:
This is a Secret Mission for the Traitors in the dinner table, as they must convince the group to sit where at least 3 Faithfuls were separating the Traitors at the table. If the Traitors successfully accomplished the task, they will earn a silver bar for the group. - Prize Earned: €1,000 out of €1,000

The contestants were divided into two teams and attending the first Murdered contestant's funeral. The silver bars are located in the three attending heirs that needed to be identified. The first heir's clue is in a priest's eulogy; the second heir's clue is located in the lyrics of hymns, and the third heir's clue is located in the verses of memorial wreaths, each containing three characteristics of a specific clothing item only one member of the heirs possessed. Each team had one guess per round, and the first team to guess the correct item earned a silver bar for the prize fund, with the team winning more rounds (or within the fastest time, in the case of a tie) will earn the key to the Armoury. - Prize Earned: €2,000 out of €3,000
