Les Traîtres Saison 1 is the first season of Les Traîtres (France). It aired two episodes every Wednesday, beginning from August 17, 2022 to August 31, 2022 on M6 from 9:10pm onwards.
Background[]
The pilot season for Les Traîtres was filmed over six days[1] during mid-April 2022[2] at the Château de Beauvoir.
Unique Characteristics & Twists[]
- Pre-existing Relationship: Husband and wife David and Vanessa Douillet were cast on the show together, competing as individual contestants. This is the first season in the global franchise to cast a married couple.
- Dagger: A Dagger was introduced in the Armoury in Episode 6, allowing its user's vote to count twice.

Trivia[]
- This season was the first internationally:
- to introduce the Dagger,
- to have two female and one male starting Traitors (whereas others before it all started with one female and two male Traitors),
- and where both members of a pre-existing relationship served as Traitors (though not at the same time).
- The Traitors this season initially had to walk past braziers on their way to the conclave. This was later removed, as it imparted a distinct smell on their clothes that potentially gave them away.[3]
