Known for her no-nonsense personality and acerbic one-liners, Kate fought an uphill battle in the game as her allies fell one by one, and her willingness to speak her mind and confront others was often mistaken as traitorous behaviour. Kept in the game by the Traitors as a scapegoat, she nevertheless began to play the game more earnestly and was close enough to the grand prize, before being Banished by Cirie Fields and her allies as the latter moved to secure her endgame position.
Kate would later return as an intruder during The Traitors (US)/Season 2 and was once again a Faithful. Immediately, she correctly identified Dan Gheesling and Parvati Shallow as Traitors. There, she followed the current flow of the game by voting out who she felt were suspicious enough to be Traitors. However, when given an ultimatum by Phaedra Parks to be a Traitor or be murdered after Parvati's banishment, Kate chose to finally become a Traitor, which immediately put her in an uncomfortable position playing that role for the first time ever. Although she was able to still survive banishments and reach the end game, her decision to shift the target on Sandra Diaz-Twine on the final banishment at the Round Table, while successful, also backfired as it ultimately pointed suspicions on Kate, making her the final Traitor eliminated at the final four.
Kate Chastain, a Florida native, who is well-known and beloved for her role as Chief Steward on Bravo’s Below Deck, has jumped ship and retired from yachting life after six seasons as a fan favourite and certified star on the show.
