Gyton Stephen Grantley is a Faithful from The Traitors (Australia)/Season 2.

Gyton entered the game intending to keep his cover under wraps; however, this was quickly blown by fellow Faithful Elias Nohra, and suspicion was later intensified when the latter was Murdered to frame him. Despite Traitor Sam McGlone's plan to throw his compatriot Ash Pollard under the bus, group attention was too focused on Gyton's erratic attempts at self-defensed, and he became the second player Banished from the game.

Profile[]

Retrieved from 10 play:

Best known for his acting roles, particularly as Carl Williams in the original Underbelly series, Gyton says, “Let’s imagine people are aware I’m an actor, it could be an advantage or a disadvantage. I’m an actor so people will probably assume I’m very good at lying but I see being an actor as trying to find the truth in things, so hopefully people can trust me. I don’t know if it will help or hinder me, it’s catch 22.”

Leaving his family behind to take on The Traitors, Gyton says his wife and children are the reason he’s coming to play. He says, “I am a family man, it’s the greatest thing that’s ever happened to me.”

Gyton is a big fan of strategy games and most looking forward to the gameplay element of the competition. He knows he will feel the pressure either way - if he is chosen as a Traitor, or if he remains a Faithful, but hopes his set of skills will set him apart from the competition.[1]

Gameplay[]

Best known as an actor in the true crime television series Underbelly, Gyton decided to keep his occupation a secret to his group, which quickly backfired when Elias Nohra revealed his profession to everyone at the first Banishment. Despite avoiding being Banished, Gyton's occupation, along with Elias's subsequent Murder, caused the group to immediately suspect him as a Traitor.

However, Traitor Sam McGlone sensed an opportunity to betray his fellow Traitor Ash Pollard, and convinced Gyton to campaign against her. Gyton did not follow along with this plan, accusing fellow Faithful Luke Toki instead to defend himself. At the second Banishment, despite Gyton openly accusing Luke of being a Traitor and subsequently writing Ash's name down when there was no traction on Luke, the group decided that Gyton's acting skills fit a Traitor's likely profile, causing them to Banish him.
