Initially targeted by Paula Púa for meta reasons and almost voted out over actual Traitor Rubén Ochandiano, Fernando soon faded into the background strategically; playing the role of respected team dad and connecting with his fellow contestants emotionally, but with little actual relevance to most of the gameplay. Just before the finale, the sole remaining Traitor Blanca Manchón - who had minimal chances of winning the game at that point - decided to use her Double Murder on the contestants she felt were least deserving of a potential win. This included Fernando and Anna Allen, both of whom were the most passive in the group.

On television, he has appeared in series such as Servir y Proteger or Los misterios de Laura, both on TVE.
