De Verraders Halloween Seizoen 2 is the third 'mini' Videoland season of De Verraders (Netherlands) (and the second Halloween edition). It is broadcast from September 30, 2023 exclusively on RTL's streaming service Videoland.
Background[]
On March 14, 2023, the Meppeler Courant reported that a new season of De Verraders was being filmed for Videoland at De Havixhorst, the setting for the past two Videoland seasons as well. Farmer Bertie Steur and actor Katja Schuurman were the two contestants whose participation was leaked.[1] This season was officially confirmed as a Halloween edition with Frank Evenblij returning to host, as well as an announced launch date, on August 18, 2023.[2]
On September 7, 2023, the full cast list was confirmed, as well as an announcement that the premiere would also air on RTL 4 at 10:55pm on September 30, 2023.[3]

Unique Characteristics & Twists[]
- Penalty Vote: Unlike in other versions of the show where contestants voted on who they felt were the least trustworthy without further direct ramifications, the contestant who received the most votes received an extra penalty vote against them at the first Banishment.
- Public Armoury Results: Unlike other versions of the show where contestants that visited the Armoury could choose to either not reveal if they won the Shield or not use the Dagger, the Armoury results would be made public to all contestants here, and anyone who won the Dagger had to use it at the following Banishment.
- Traitors' Ultimatum: At the end of Episode 3, there was only one Traitor left. They had the option of offering an Ultimatum to a Faithful of their choice, who would either be obliged to accept Recruitment or be Murdered otherwise. This was repeated at the end of Episode 4, when there was once again only one Traitor left.

This is the first season in the franchise internationally where:
- All the Original Traitors were Banished at the first three Banishments;
- and consequently, a record for most consecutive Traitor Banishments was also set, with four Traitors were consecutively Banished;
- consecutive Traitor Blackmails took place, with a total of 2 Blackmails.
With 35.7% (5/14) of the cast having played as Traitors, this season saw the largest share of contestants who played the role in the international franchise.
