Why did you apply to be on this brand-new reality series? What interested you about the concept? A few months ago, I saw the details about a new programme, The Traitors, and I just thought ‘why the hell not?’ It's as simple as that. What interested me about the concept was doing the missions. I don’t mind eliminating anybody and all the rest of it, but it was the idea of doing the missions and challenges that I liked.
What do you think you will bring to the game? Wow, what a question. Well, I'll bring my age and my experience, which does help. I'm a happy person, so I hope to bring that as well, mixed in with the suspicion. I want to give the game a sense of enjoyment, although this may not be what the game is about at all...
Do you have a game plan? No, I thought it was best to see everybody else first. I'm probably the oldest, I could be a little old granny, or I could be less granny-like and more assertive, I don't really know yet. It may be a mix of the two, I don't think I'm going to be totally myself but who knows.
If you're a Traitor, how will you feel? How good is your poker face? My poker face is the best. It can look worried or concerned, not severe, not powerful. I would like to be a Traitor but I’ve realised that probably so does everybody else.
How good are you spotting a liar? I think that's going to depend on the other person, isn't it? Probably far too good. I think I'll assess people, I won’t rush in, but I'll be watching underneath. I think I'm quite a deceptive person, however most people find me warm and friendly.
How far will you go to win? I’m quite driven for the things I want. I'd like to win very much, and I don't mind banishing people at all. Although if I don't win, it’s not the end of the world. I think I've got to live the experience to the max and with the maximum of my ability.
If you win, what would you do with the prize money? I'd jump up and down with joy for a start. I have an aged car, so maybe something new. Since I now live alone, life is tough. So, I think it would give me a feeling that it's not going to be quite so tough for a while. That would be lovely, I'd be able to be a bit more carefree.[1]
